Responsibilities:
- To actively participate in the design, programming and testing of applications built by the Applications Development Team
- Review and recommend improvement in methods, tools and techniques to continuously improve productivity and quality
- Comply at all times with IT policies and procedures to preserve IT’s integrity and to protect the customers’ interests
- Bring any situation that is unsafe or poses threat to the company to the immediate attention of management
Experience, Skills & Quali?cations:
- Extensive knowledge of Object Oriented application design and development 5+ Years Programming experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, HTML, JavaScript, Struts,
- Weblogic and DB2
- Large scale business systems development
- Extensive SQL programming skills
- Knowledge of Ext JS and other front end frameworks
- Knowledge of Report Writing Tools and Techniques
- Ability to solve a problem and provide an appropriate solution
- Knowledge of and ability to work under Scrum an Agile Development Methodology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate to sta? across all levels
- Understanding of operating systems particularly Windows 7 and AIX (Unix)
- Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Degree in Information Technology or related degree
