SENIOR MANAGER - ADVOCACY & CAMPAIGNS


JOB SPECIFICATIONS :

Senior Manager Advocacy is responsible for implementing and coordinating advocacy events and campaigns organized by the advocacy unit of FPA Sri Lanka.

He/She will:

  • Enhance relationships and visibility of the organization among ministries, donors, CB05, NGOs ING0s, and liaise with national/local Media
  • Conduct sensitization programmes for decision makers
  • Strengthen community mobilization through public awareness programmes
  • Plan and implement Media campaigns related to advocacy activities.
  • Disseminate Advocacy and Campaigns related news, through specific websites & Newsletters
  • Monitor, evaluate and report all advocacy activities aspen internal requirements.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree/Diploma/professional qualification in Development Studies, Political Science Social Sciences or any other related field
  • Fluency in oral and written communication in English & Sinhala (Spoken Tamil would be an advantage)
  • Computer skills in MS Office including excel is essential
  • Knowledge on preparation and handling of activity budgets
  • Strong background in managing and building relationships with media.
  • Ability to use and analyse research data
  • Being steam player and willing to travel locally when required.

Experience:

  • 03 years working experience in the development, media or public relations field.
