System Engineer

Engineer.

The prospective candidate should be a creative team player who can work well with our team based in Colombo 3 and be dedicated to meeting the needs of the business. The position of Network Engineer, will be working to support the needs of the local office and development team. The role demands a high level of system administration knowledge and the ability to manage one self and prioritised task list.

Development experience will also be considered a bonus as knowledge about lDEs and repository systems such as SVN will be useful.

• The right candidate should possess the following skills:
• If you are Ability to maintain an office network running Windows and Linux machines
• Excellent knowledge with Linux system administration.
• Pragmatic and good problem solver both in software and hardware
• SVN and software repository knowledge
• Firm networking knowledge for both WAN and LAN.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Logical and clear thinker with good ability to conceptualise the big picture with a project
• Good knowledge of Samba.
• Knowledge in Apache, php and other web softwares is essential
• Able to manage a mixed task list of user support and system support
• Systems hardware knowledge
• Php programming knowledge would be a bonus
• Scripting Knowledge such as Bash and Python would be extremely useful.
