Main Areas of Responsibility

• Review QA project artifects including Test Plans and Test Scripts
• Implement and maintain detailed concise test plans
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java/ JUnit / TestNG
• Document product defects
• Develop and execute performance and scalability tests using open source tools
• Assist in developing, organizing and maintaining QA methodologies
• Establish close working relationships with development teams

These are the main elements of the job. However you may be expected to undertake tasks outside of this job descriptionand to use your own initiative to develop the role

Experience & Qualifications

• BSc. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional qualification
• At least 3-4 years experience in QA track .
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Senior QA engineer role preferably testing web based multi-tiered
• clustered applications
• 2 years experience in Automation using Junit / TestNG
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience on Linux / Unix environment.
• Experience in designing and writing test automation scripts including use of one or more tools; JUnit,TestNG ,Http, Grinder or any other open source tools.
• Experience in a programming language, especially Java, is required
• Application Server knowledge and/or experience with WebLogic, JBoss or any other application server
• Oracle / MySQL DBA knowledge and/or experience with Java Servlets and EJB

Personal Attributes & Competencies:

• Demonstrate a clear understanding of QA processes and methodology
• Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and ability to hit the ground running is essential
