Summit Professional Services is the professional services arm of PEAK adventure travel (www.peakadventuretravel.com) which is currently the largest adventure travel company in the world. We operate in over 16 countries and own around 20 brands which are market leaders in the US, UK and Australia. PEAK is head quarters in Melboume but is partially owned by TUI travel (www.tuitravelplc.com) , which is a Europe based travel giant.

We are looking for a PHP/Drupal technical Lead for our new office in Sri Lanka

Responsibilities:

  • Develop enhancements and new features for existing applications
  • Develop new reports as requested by the business
  • Investigate issues reported by the users and fix any defects found

What we look for:

  • Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications
  • 5+ years commercial development experience
  • Extensive understanding of PHP 5 development practices
  • Extensive in the use of source control systems (eg Subversion or similar)
  • Knowledge & practical application of relational database design using MySQL
  • Exposure to Drupal or similar Content Management Systems
  • Comfortable working within a Linux environment including interacting with a shell interface
  • Exposure to web analytics packages advantageous (eg Google Analytics or similar)
  • Previous experience working with SOAP api programming code.
  • Knowledge & practical application of eCommerce solutions
