Software Quality Assurance Lead

Summit Professional Services is the professional services arm of PEAK adventure travel which is currently the largest adventure travel company in the world. We operate in over 16 countries and own around 20 brands which are market leaders in the US, UK and Australia. PEAK is head quartered in Melbourne but is partially owned by TUI travel, which is a Europe based travel giant.

We are looking for a QA Lead for our new office in Sri Lanka.

Responsibilities:

·         Manage and respond to Software Quality Assurance issues with related groups such as Development, Database, Integration, and business support.

·         Develop and lead the software system testing process, resources and documentation.

·         Develop departmental policies and standard operating procedures, as needed, to effectively execute the principles and responsibilities of software quality assurance.

·         Anticipate program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed to resolve and achieve commitments.

·         Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.

·         Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan.

·         Be responsible for the selection and development of people and resources necessary to perform the functions of software quality assurance.

·         Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.

·         Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.

·         Automate tests where appropriate

What we look for:

·         Computer science or Software Engineering Qualifications (Preferred)

·         At least 6+ years’ experience as a QA engineer with a minimum of 2 years as a QA Lead (mandatory)

·         Experience in testing a public facing website (mandatory)

·         Experience in testing websites based on content management systems (exposure to Drupal will be an advantage)

·         Experience in load and scalability testing using automated testing tools

·         Experience in leading a small team of testers

·         Experience in testing service orientated applications

·         Ability to prepare test plans for load and scalability testing of public websites

·         Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes.

·         Proven experience of testing complex enterprise applications.

·         Experience in testing both windows and web based applications.

·         Experience in testing business reports
