Plateno Hotels Group manages PORTOFINO RESORT TANGALLE, a 4* luxury beach hotel located in the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka which is renowned both internationally and locally for its outstanding guest experiences and hospitality. We are seeking talented, qualified and experienced professionals for the below mentioned position eager to progress their career to join our team at Portofino Resort Tangalle.

Requirements

• Below 40 years of age male / female.
• Should possess a relevant Degree.
• Any other professional qualification from a recognized university/professional body/hotel school.
• Ideal candidate should having minimum of 2-3 years' experience in similar capacity in a star class hotel.
• With good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to well work under pressure and positive and calm approach.
• Manage a section within the kitchen with the assistance of Commis Chefs.
• Managing the development and supervision of the Commis Chefs on the section.
• Ensure they are fully trained and understand their duties.
• Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
• Ensure full understanding of the functional administration of the restaurant.
